Plan B was to visit the observation deck of Menara Kuala Lumpur, one of the world's tallest communications towers. We walked in very hot, very humid weather, arriving soaked in sweat just to find out it costs thirty-eight ringgit each. We thought it was a ripoff and didn't want to pay that much just to ride a long elevator. Besides, we didn't have that much cash on us anyway.
Plan C: go to KL's version of Central Park, the Lake Gardens, and pay a side visit to its orchid garden (did you know Magge loves flowers? I had no clue). Most of the orchids were not in bloom, and the only entrance we could find to the park was locked. You've got to know when to hold them and know when to fold them. I returned to the hostel to do some research on our next destination while Magge paid to have fish eat the dead skin off her feet.
This picture combines all three of our botched plans today: view of the Petronas Towers and Menara Kuala Lumpur from the orchid garden.
Your day was not totally a failure. Look on the bright side of things you are walking around with someone with really clean feet! Now if only you had posted pictures of Magge's pre- and post- clean feet.
ReplyDeleteThat's such a great idea! I wish I had thought of that. But I don't think ppl cld have handled the sight of my feet.
ReplyDeleteYes it is a shame you did not get to go up in the towers. One of the worlds sights. Oh well, what you have seen ranks right up there.

OK chickie, I think your next gift should be "Doctor Fish," rather than a zoom lens. I looked at the link for the fish, and I think you inherited the yucky skin from me, and I would like some of them also, so perhaps we can figure this out.
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry you guys did not get to go to the tops of any those buildings, but you saw them, not many people get to even see them up close and personal and you guys did.Thank you for the picture, we are there with you loving every minute of it, and loving you in the process.
Oh Magge :) I hope you enoyed your little 'spa' treatment. Too bad there was no mud bath! Jeffrey, at least you had a little time to catch your breath. It's just go, go, go! You deserved a little break from your oh- so tiring vacation-Oh, I mean traveling ;). Love you!
ReplyDeleteawesome, awesome stuff jeffrey and mags. --bbom
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry you didn't get to do what you planed.Jeffrey, why didn't you get you feet cleaned by those docter fish(and don't doctor fish do the sharks too?
ReplyDeleteLiam, it just didn't interest me. There are other things I'd rather spend money on (like bungy jumping!). As for the sharks, I think you're thinking of remora.
