Happy Birthday, Colin Redux

My friend Mike, a famous graphic designer, added a little color to my brother Colin's birthday picture and I thought it was worth posting. Colin, now that you got two birthday posts, don't expect anything for Christmas.

  1. You can always count on Mike to contribute something of value to the conversation/post, right?

As for Colin's Christmas gift I am pretty sure you can think of something good to get him. I know you can. I know you can!

  3. I want to use this post to wish Lee a Happy Birthday too! Both Marcia and Lee are in Croatia with Jeffrey and Magge and have celebrated Lee's birthday "looking out at the peaceful Sea vista." Can we please see the picture of this great view and beautiful people?!
    Love ya, xo

  4. Liam, it's a hammer and sickle, a symbol of communism. If you go back to my first post on Hanoi, I linked to a Wikipedia article on it, if you're interested in reading more.

The sign is in Macedonian. Bulgarian is the most closely related language, and Serbian and Croatian are the next closest. It's a difficult language to read because it uses the Cyrillic alphabet instead of the Latin alphabet that we're used to.

Jeff, thanks for much for calling me famous! I mean, it's a bit of an understatement, but I'll take what I can get!

Last time I was over at your parent's house, I saw a couple of drawing Liam had been working on and I was really impressed how excellent of an artist he is becoming. He's gonna be WAY more famous than I will be.
