Goodbye, Cape Town

Cape Town's weather the last few days we were in the city was the worst it had been the entire six weeks we spent there, with Table Mountain constantly wrapped in thick, low-lying clouds.  On our last day, just as we were about to leave for our township tour, the clouds lifted just long enough for us to get one last glimpse of the mountain.

How beautiful. Do you know the name of tree with the lavender flowers?

Christmas has officially come to Turkey Farm Road. Three trees, and Santa everywhere. Josh, Noah, Rach and Nathan will be home for dinner tonight. Christina is coming as well. I thought of Jeff as I marinated the pork tenderloins. I love you guys, can't wait to get my hands on you

  3. Nice touch with those pics. Yes I am tired after those 3 trees but it does look nice.
Santa Lee signing off, got to feed the reindeer.

  4. The trees with the purple flowers are jacarandas. They are actually much more prevalent in Pretoria, which is nicknamed the Jacaranda City.

  6. Jacaranda, cool, I have never heard of that tree before, it is gorgeous.

Alas, we will struggle with the trees ourselves darling girl. Just having you both smiling under them is Christmas enough for us!
